九点三十分 编译自 How to convert your Windows Server 2003... to a Workstation!
http://www.msfn.org/win2k3/index.htm要做的第一件事情就是关闭掉Manage Your Server窗口，选择"Don't display this page at logon"即可。
以后可以通过Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Manage Your Server来使用它。
1．新建一个用户帐号由于Windows Server 2003没有"Welcome Screen"，所以无法便捷地在第一次启动系统前即建立一个用户帐号。解决办法：
在Start -> Run 中键入 rundll32 netplwiz.dll,UsersRunDll，确定。弹出User Accounts窗口：
点击Add按钮，依次填入相关信息，注意选择Administrators：
如果希望使用更多地高级控制项，可以在Run中键入lusrmgr.msc。
让系统自动登陆：
选中你的用户帐号，去掉"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"前面的勾，点击Apply，这时弹出窗口
填入相关信息即可。
2．关闭Internet Explorer增强安全Windows Server 2003上安装的Internet Explorer的安全性能默认设为高，不能访问任何站点。解决办法：
打开Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components，选择Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration，再选择Details按钮，在弹出的窗口中把两个勾都去掉：
这时启动Internet Explorer后会看到窗口警告：
改动Internet Explorer options homepage即可。
3．安装Sun Java VMWindows Server 2003没有安装任何一种Java虚拟机，建议安装Sun Java VM。

http://java.sun.com/getjava/manual.html4．关掉Shutdown Event Tracker我们要的是Workstation，这玩意没用。按下面办法来关掉Shutdown Event Tracker：
在Start -> Run 中键入 gpedit.msc，打开Group Policy Object Editor
在窗口左边找到Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System，在右边找到Display Shutdown Event Tracker，双击打开它的属性窗口
选择Disabled即可关掉Shutdown Event Tracker。
如果一切正常，关机将看到下面窗口
5．打开显卡加速和DirectX在桌面上单击右键，选择 Properties -> Settings 选项卡 -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot 选项卡。
移动Hardware acceleration滑块到Full，好了。此时显示器可能会闪烁几秒，正常现象。
然后，在Start -> Run 中键入 dxdiag，弹出对话框询问是否连接到Internet验证WHQL证书，选择Yes，进入下面的窗口
择Display选项卡，点击三个按钮启动DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture Acceleration。
然后，安装好显卡的Win2k/XP驱动。
6．声卡加速如果安装的是Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition，一路Next即可安装好Windows Audio Service。其他版本请按下面步骤：
在Start -> Run 中键入 Services.msc，在打开的Services窗口中找到Windows Audio双击打开，把startup type项改为Automatic，点击Apply -> Start -> OK。
再回到DirectX窗口中（在Start -> Run 中键入 dxdiag），选择Sound 选项卡，移动滑块"Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" 到 Full Acceleration.
如果使用SB Live!声卡，可以通过LiveDrvUni-Pack for Win2K/XP升级到2003年3月10日，绝对不要手动安装驱动，因为它只能在Windows Server 2003下正常工作。
7．使用主题、修补UXTheme.dll回到Services窗口（在Start -> Run -> 中键入 Services.msc），找到Themes，双击打开，将startup type项改为Automatic，点击Apply -> Start -> OK。
此时只有Luna Blue, Silver 和 Olive Green 主题可用，可以通过修补UXTheme.dll解决。
手动安装
下载UXTheme.dll补丁：

解开zip文件，复制UXTheme.dll 到 C:\WINDOWS\System32\dllcache 目录下；
拷贝uxthemepatch.cmd 到 C:\ 根目录下；
重启系统到Safe Mode Command Prompt模式下（启动时按F8）；
在命令行中键入cd\回车，再键入uxthemepatch回车。
记住，假如你的硬盘上安装有其他版本的WINDOWS，有C:\WINDOWS目录的话，需要先把它移开。

8．应用IMAPI CD-Burning和Windows Image Acquisition服务IMAPI CD-Burning支持CD刻录，Windows Image Acquisition支持数码相机、网络摄像头、扫描仪等设备，如果你不需要这些服务，可跳过本节。
在Services窗口中找到IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service，改为Automatic。
重启，在“Send-To”中可以找到CD Burning。
在Services窗口中找到Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)，改为Automatic。
9．高级设置打开Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> Advanced选项卡，改变Processor scheduling为Programs，改变Memory usage为Programs。
打开Control Panel -> System -> Error Reporting，选择Disable Error Reporting，并勾上But, notify me when critical errors occur。
10．安装DirectX 9.0a安装DirectX 9.0a和在以前的任一Windows系统上安装任一DirectX版本过程一样。如果不能安装，请先返回第5步“打开显卡加速和DirectX”。

系统默认显示隐藏募臀募校梢源蚩募校≡馮ools -> Folder Options -> View 选项卡 -> Do not show hidden files and folders。 11.2Windows Media Player 9
Windows Media Player 9已被安装。选择Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Windows Media Player，激活它。
右击Taskbar，选择 Toolbars -> Windows Media Player可将Media Player 9添加到Taskbar。

附录一 使用 TweakNT 转换 Server 为 Professional/Home有风险！TweakNT仅针对Windows Server 2003 Retail版本适用。
下载TweakNT 1.21:

选择Convert to -> Workstation，随意愿选择 Home 或 Professional；
点击Apply，重启。
如果系统启动发生错误，则TweakNT使用失败。
如果系统成功启动，恭喜，你成功了。你可以安装Norton Antivirus 2003, Partition Magic 8，和许多转换前无法安装的软件。
还是不建议使用次法，转换后的系统将有许多功能失效。
附录二 在Windows Server 2003上安装Windows XP Games下载XP Games：
http://www.msfn.org/modules.php?modid=2&action=show&id=80解压zip包，把所有dll文件复制到C:\Windows\System32\Setup\，把所有inf文件复制到C:\Windows\Inf\。
在 Start -> Run 中键入 C:\Windows\Inf\sysoc.inf，记事本将打开sysoc.inf文件，粘贴下文：
Games=ocgen2.dll,OcEntry,games.inf,,7
Pinball=ocgen2.dll,OcEntry,pinball.inf,,7
ZoneGames=zoneoc.dll,ZoneSetupProc,igames.inf,,7
保存该文件。
现在安装Game！
插入Windows Server 2003 CD，选择Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components，在Accessories and Utilities 中选中 Games。
系统提示Unknown，把Windows Server 2003 CD换为Windows XP CD，再次OK，直到发生错误把安装终止。
假如你的硬盘上安装有其他版本的WINDOWS，有C:\WINDOWS目录的话，需要先把它移开。
开始游戏：Start -> Programs -> Games
附录三 启动、关闭系统时应用主题确认你已启动主题服务。
打开注册表编辑器（在Start -> Run 中键入 regedit），找到以下键值：
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ThemeManager
右击ThemeManager，选择Export，将该键值导出。
使用记事本将导出的注册表内容
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ThemeManager
改为
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ThemeManager
保存文件。然后双击执行它。
重启系统，启动、关闭系统已被应用主题。
附录四 关闭CTRL+ALT+DEL提示选择 Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policy. 在左边窗口中找到 Local Policies -> Security Options.
在右边窗口找到Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL，双击，选择Enabled即可。
