As I mentioned before, I was facing a BSC or MC choice in this assignment, and BPS had to be introduced to solve it.

The solution is using BPS to calculate KPIs and their benchmark scores, and then presenting the status in MC. It is tested ok and got client's approval. After implementation, however I think there are still some concerns. First, now there are only 14 KPIs; but there might be more than 100 KPIs, in that case, BPS have to take care of a lot of calculation. And using of hierarchy variable has not been tested yet, which is going to be applied in the furture for sure; this will cause some structures changes.

Anyway, time is limited and thing can not all be done in just one and half months. For things left, I guess only God knows.

Jonathan Ji 2006-07-10 16:08 发表评论

Comments of an SAP-SEM book

<trackback:ping>http://www.cnitblog.com/BI-Blog/services/trackbacks/11159.html</trackback:ping>
I logged my comment of an SAP-SEM book (《mySAP 集团战略管理》) on dangdang.com today as below:

1. Detail step by step guide;
2. Covers SRM, CPM and BPS;
3. No BCS content;
4. Maybe be not suitable for an entry level SAPer, at least you have to have some knowleadge of SAP business Information Warehouse, accounting and finance, strategy management before you can understand what it is talking about (of cause, you need a SAP BW/SEM system on hand);
5. No tips and tricks.

Hopefully it will help somebody.

Jonathan Ji 2006-05-29 01:56 发表评论

SAP SEM-CPM

<trackback:ping>http://www.cnitblog.com/BI-Blog/services/trackbacks/11098.html</trackback:ping>
Being busy recently (I know, I know, it is just an excuse). The thing is my client wants a run time variable used in BSC to monitor KPIs' scores flexibly. Oh, my!

SAP CPM-BSC can have score and status; and CPM-MC can have variable for presentatiion but no score, what a dilemma!

Anyway I have a solution now, which is integrating CPM with BPS. Testing now, hope that I can deliver it finally in next month.

Jonathan Ji 2006-05-27 01:30 发表评论
